There are moments that remind you what community truly means.
This was one of them.
Recently, Clayton County came together in a powerful and emotional show of unity to send off the Jonesboro High School Marching Band as they prepare to travel to London to represent our county and state in the New Year’s Day Parade. The moment wasn’t about applause or speeches — it was about faith, support, and covering our young people in prayer.
As the entire gym stood together, hands joined and hearts aligned, the community prayed for the band’s safe travels, strength, and success as they step onto an international stage.
A Moment Bigger Than Music
The Jonesboro High School Marching Band has long been a source of pride in Clayton County. Their discipline, talent, and commitment represent the very best of what our schools and students can produce.
Watching the full gym unite in prayer was a reminder that this journey is about more than a parade. It’s about:
- Young leaders carrying the name of Clayton County across the world
- Families, educators, and neighbors standing behind them
- A community choosing encouragement, faith, and unity
This send-off was a powerful testament to what happens when a community shows up for its youth.
Representing Clayton County on the World Stage
Traveling to London for a New Year’s Day Parade is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. These students aren’t just marching — they’re representing:
- Their school
- Their families
- Their county
- The culture, pride, and excellence of South Metro Atlanta
Every step they take overseas carries the spirit of Clayton County with them.
Proud to Support and Stand With Them
As a proud sponsor, 404 Sports Bar & Grill is honored to support the Jonesboro High School Marching Band on this historic journey. Supporting our youth is about investing in the future, uplifting excellence, and showing our students that their community believes in them.
Moments like this reaffirm why local businesses play such an important role beyond their walls — we are part of the fabric of the community.
Sending Them Off in Good Traveling Grace
The prayer that filled the gym wasn’t just symbolic — it was intentional. It was a collective ask for:
- Safe travels
- Protection
- Confidence
- A successful and memorable experience
As they prepare to perform thousands of miles from home, they do so knowing that Clayton County stands behind them.
Travel Safe. Play Proud.
To the students, band directors, parents, and supporters — know that your community is proud of you.
